Happy Hearts Child Care is owned and operated by Sherron French. She is the primary provider for the children. Sherron
has been working with children for over 15 years. Happy Hearts Child Care has formally been in operation since 1999.

Staff Credentials
Sherron French is the primary provider and owner of Happy Hearts Child Care. Sherron has maintained a Child Development
Creditential and earned her Associates of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education in 2008. Sherron is a member of NAEYC,
KAEYC, SAEYC and NAFCC.
Sherron has led Happy Hearts Child Care as the facility participated in the EXCEL
early childhood program and KQRS quality improvement program, earning a 3 star rating in the first year.
Kandace
Smith is our child care assistant. Kandace joined our staff in February 2009; she brings warmth, love and fun to
Happy Hearts Child Care. She loves working with the children and families.
Kandace is currently working towards her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education through the T.E.A.C.H. program.
She has been completing 6 credit hours of course work while working full-time in the child care.
Staff Training
Ongoing education and training is very important in a vital business such as child care. Sherron attends a minimum of
twenty in-service hours per year, in addition to local and state training events Sherron also participates in national association
conferences. In 2009 Sherron participated in the BELIEF Leadership Institute. Currently Sherron is certified in CPR as well
as first aid.
Kandace enrolled in T.E.A.C.H. in June 2009. She will be working toward earning her Associates Degree in Early
Childhood Education. Kandace is certified in infant/child CPR and first aid.
